This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :　Gold and silver double habaki.
Blade length:64.0cm or 25.19inches.
Sori:1.4cm or 0.55inches.
Mekugi:1
Width at the hamachi:2.95cm or 1.16inches.
Width at the Kissaki:2.1cm or 0.82inches.
Kasane:0.75cm or 0.29inches.
The weight of the sword:675grams.
Era: The late Muromachi period
Shape: Osuriage-Mumei, the blade is broad and thick, has deeper Sori and longer Kissaki. Well-balanced shape.
Jigane: Koitame-hada well grained, Jinie attached, beautiful Hada-ai.
Hamon: Niedeki, slightly disorganized Gunome-Midare, Sunagashi and Kinsuji work in Hachu, Boshi is Hakigake and becomes like flames, turns back with big Yakisage.

Special feature: Takada swords made in Koto times are called “Taira Takada”, and ones in Shinto times are called “Fujiwara Takada”, because after Shinto times they made swords with signature of “Fujiwara ―“.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Oval brass Tsuba with Tachiage rim, river flow and the clouds above that are engraved.
Fuchikashira; On Shakudo plate, family crest and patterns are engraved.
Saya: Aogai-chirashi Saya.
Menuki: Copperplate, shishi dogs are engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: Fujiwara Takada school made swords with slightly rough Gunome-Midare with Choji-Midare, and Boshi of Hakigake ending with flame-like Hamon: very wild atmosphere. The body shape is really good. It was originally very long Katana and had Suriage and Machiokuri: we can see some small traces of Hamon in Nakago. This work was judged as Fujiwara Takada at NBTHK. The Koshirae is not bad, we can truly recommend this one for you.
