The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length:27.6 cm or 10.8 inches.
Sori:0.2cm or 0.07 inches.
Mekugi:1
Width at the hamachi:2.65 cm or 1.04 inches.
Kasane:0.58cm or 0.22 inches.
The weight of the sword:190 grams.
Era: Late Muromachi period.
Shape: Wide and thick sword. Sori is regular and Bohi is engraved on both sides.
Jigane: Ko-Itame-Hada well grained.
Hamon: Niedeki Gunome-Midare and Togari-Gunome-Midare mixed. Ashi worked and Boshi is a small round shape.

Special feature: This sword’s Hamon on both sides are the same at all as Muramasa’s sword. Kanetsuru was worked around the end of the Muromachi period to the Azuchi-Momoyama period. It was wartime so most swordsmiths made only Katana but did not make so many Tanto. This sword has only 1 Mekugi hole and this means the sword was kept carefully by the owners. The Mei is engraved clearly, we recommend this sword, which was made beyond of Muromachi and Azuchi-Momoyama period.
