Special Feature:The founder of Ko Naminohira was said to be a person who
was named Masakuni from Yamato in the Heian period and moved to
Satsuma Kuni Taniyama Gun Naminohira to make swords, whose
child is called Yukiyasu. Ko Naminohira is far before Nambokucho
period, it is from the late Kamakura period. This work has Ubu
Nakago and in very beautiful shape and we can see the shape it used
to be. In addition, the Mei is unclear but left, maybe it will be clearer
when you care for it elaborately.

From Aoi Art:This work was polished wonderfully so the greatness of
Jigane is visible: Itame-hada, Chikei and Utsuri. Hamon is Nioideki-
Suguha, which goes to Kissaki. Sometimes the works from Satsuma
and Ko Naminohira have that characteristics. Especially, it has Ubu
Nakago, which is rare, unique and interesting to watch. We truly
recommend this one for you. Now it has Tokubetesu Hozon of
NBTHK. If we can read the Mei, the date of production could be earlier up to the Mei.
They say that the Hamon is too close to the edge, but
Ko Naminohira used to be like that, you can see in the past Juyo
Token. Please preserve this masterpiece at home as your family
treasure.
