This sword belongs to Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: copper single habaki.
Blade length: 68.6 cm or 27.00 inches.
Sori :2.0cm or 0.78 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.125cm or 1.23 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.5cm or 0.98 inches.
Kasane : 0.65cm or 0.25 inches.
The weight of the sword is 700grams.
Era: Modern times.1992
Shape: Rather wide and regular thickness Katana.
The Ububa is left. There are Bo-Hi on both side of the blade.
The Katana is nice shape.
Jigane: Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. Muji Fu Jigane.
Hamon: Nioi Deki, Ko Choji Midare with many Ko Ashi.
Boshi is Midarekomi and small round shape.

Special feature: Miike Ju Kunimitsu, his real name is Komiya Kunimitsu.
He was born in 34th Showa(1959) at Fukuoka prefecture.
He studied under his father Komiya Shiro Kuminitsu.
His father was active during the war and passed away in 63th Showa(January 15th,1988).
He succeeded his father and is active in new sword exhibitions such as
Winning prizes, effort awards, and excellence awards.

Koshirae :
Saya : Black color Ishime-Ji Saya.
Tsuba: Round shape iron Tsuba, the flower is engraved. Edo period.
Menuki: Shakudo, a cassette is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: modern

From Aoi Art: Miike Ju Kunimitsu was a swordsmith. He succeeded his father. He got many prizes. This blade reminds of Katayama Ichimonji.
Hi is a talented swordsmith.
There are traces of cutting straw on the blade.
We think that it many be used as it is as an Iaido sword.
