The blade was polished.
Habaki : copper and silver double habaki.
Blade length : 49.0 cm or 19.29 inches.
Sori : 1.1 cm or 0.43 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 3.23 cm or 1.27 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.96 cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 3.23 cm or 1.27 inches.
Era : Edo period, Meireki era.
Shape : Wide 3.23cm and thick blade. It is heavy blade.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attached. Hadatatsu.
Hamon: Nie Deki, Notare Gunome Midare with deep Nioikuchi.
There are wide Ashi and Sunagashi.

Special feature : Oumi no Kami Houjyoji Tachibana Masahiro was born at Tajima province
and moved to Edo who was named Takigawa Saburo Dayu.
He was very skillful sword maker and educated many sword makers.
This blade is first generation of Masahiro.
The blade is quite similar with Kotetsu. This description “Meireki 1 nen 8 gatsu hi” is very rare.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round shape iron Tsuba, a dragon is engraved with openwork.
Menuki: Shakudo, a dragon is engraved.
Fuchikashira: Iron, dragon is painted with gold color.
Saya: Black Roiro Saya.
