This Echizen Rai. belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Copper single habaki.
Blade length :45.2 cm or 17.79 inches.
Sori : 1.1 cm or 0.43 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.97 cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.44 cm or 0.96 inches.
Kasane : 0.48 cm or 0.18 inches.
Era : Late Nanbokucyo period.
Shape : Wide and thick, Osuriage, Bohi engraved on both sides, shallow Sori, long Kissaki.
Jitetsu : The mixture of Koitame-hada and Masame-hada, Jinie attached, Utsuri appears slightly.
Hamon : Nie-deki, Suguha and Notare. Deep Nioikuchi and Soft Yo, pointed Boshi.

Special Feature : NBTHK attributes this sword to Echizen Rai.
Echizen-Rai was swordsmith group in late Nanbokucho period.
The founder of Echizen-Rai was Chiyozuru Kuniyasu.
Kuniyasu and Kuniyuki, Morihiro are well known, and they are called Echizen-Rai.
