This sword belongs to Jyo-jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : single copper Habaki.
Blade length : 27.4cm or 10.7 inches.
Sori : 0.2cm or 0.07 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.09cm or 1.21 inches.
Kasane : 0.65cm or 0.25 inches.
The weight of the sword 265 grams.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : Wide and thick Tanto
Jigane : Mokume-Hada well grained, Jinie attached beautiful Jigane like Kiyomitsu.
Hamon : Nie-Deki Suguha with Nijuba. Boshi is sharp round shape Yakisage style.
special feature: The Tanto engraved Zokyo of Osafune Sukesada with Ura-mei. He not
usually make Tanto so this sword is rare. He is the 5th generation of Yozaemon Sukasada.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Hamidashi style black color Tsuba. Family crests are engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo Nanako plate, chrysanthemums are engraved with gold color.
Saya: Kawari-Nuri style Saya. There is part of Shakudo plate, flower is engraved.
Menuki: Shakudo plate. Shishi dog is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: This sword is Tanto with Zokumyo of Bizen Osafune
Sukesada. The sword looks like Kiyomitsu, it was made Edo
period but the Jigane with Utsuri like Muromachi period.
As you know, Most of Tanto is Koto or Shin-Shin-to, so
Tanto was made Edo period like this one is very rare. The
sword also has Ura-Mei. We recommend this sword.
