This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki:　Gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length:　22.73cm or 8.94 inches.
Sori : 0 cm or 0 inches.

Width at the hamachi: 2.1 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.6cm or 0.23 inches.
The weight of the sword 145grams.
Era: Showa 1940, August.
Shape: The blade is regular width and thickness mitt Munetsugu style beautiful Tanto.
Jigane: Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach.
Hamon: Konie Deki Suguha and small nashi work very soft nice habuchi.

Special feature: Toshihide whose real name was Kaneyoshi Horii was born in 1886 as the third son of Hirokichi Tokuda in Shiga prefecture. Toshihide succeeded the Horii School as the Third. Toshihide used three names: Hideaki, Kaneaki and Toshihide. In 1918, Toshihide went to Hokkaido in order to make typical Japanese swords by using Tamahagane steel at Nihon-Seiko, a famous steelmaking company at Muroran City. He continued forging sword there. He passed away in1943 during the Second World War. His reputation is remarkable and got a lot of prizes.

Koshirae : silver Issaku Koshirae
Saya :red brown Simeji style saya.
Fuchikashira:waves are engraved bo silver.
Menuki : a dragon is engraved by solid gold.
Kojiri. waves are engraved and a dragon is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: before the war, Horii Toshihide was invited to Japan steal co in Hokkaido and worked for making Japanese swords.
He used high-quality Tamahagane which was produced at the steal ℅ and Made high-quality works while researching.
This sword was made at that period. The Jigane is a wonderful Jigane and also active Choji midair Hamon.
This work is Tanto who transferred Rai Kunitoshi in the Kamakura period, and Jigane picks it up beautifully in Mitsu mune style. and
Horii Toshihide rarely sees small tanto productions.
