Signature: Mumei attributed as Ho-Ju 宝寿

saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : solid gold 41grams.
Blade length :66.9 cm or 26.3 inches.
Sori :1.43cm or 0.56 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.03cm or 1.19 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.4cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
The weight of the sword 795 grams.
Era : Late Kamakura to Nanbokucho period.
Shape O-Suriage Mumei sword with wide and thick.
Sori is deep and Bo-hi is engraved
on both side. Kissaki is longer, typical Koto shape sword.
Jigane : Itame-Hada and O-Mokume-Hada, with Masame. Jinie attached, Chikei and
Utsuri is visible.
Hamon : Niedeki Suguha with deep Nioikuchi. Ko-Ashi, Sunagashi and Kinsuji worked.
Boshi is Midarekomi round shape.

Special feature: Ho-Jyu is big brother of Maigusa and live in Oushu
Hiraizumi, the 1st generation was started around
Kamakura period, 1306.
Kissaki of this sword is longer so we think it was made
around end of the Kamakura period to early of Nanboku-cho
period.

From Aoi Art: This sword is Itame-Hada with Mokume-Hada. JInie attached and Chikei,
Utsuri is visible. Hamon is Suguha with Ko-Ashi, Sunagashi and Kinsuji. The sword also
look same as Oushu Gassan. We recommend this sword. By the way, Habaki is made of
pure gold.
