Habaki : Gold and silver double habaki.
Blade length : 21.5 cm or 8.46 inches.

The weight of the sword 100 grams.
Era : middle Muromachi period.
Shape : Regular width and thickness Takenoko Sori Tanto.
Jigane : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attch. The Jigane is blakich Jigane.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with Suguha Hamon.

Special feature: There are quite a few swordsmiths called Kunimitsu. NBTHK judged it as Uda school based on its characteristics such as blakish Jigane, Hadadachi, the mixture of Suguha Hamon and Gunome Midare. From the work, the blade was made around the middle of the Muromachi peirod.
You can enjoy it. Because the Jigane is beautiful. And there are a lot of activities around the Monouchi part.

From Aoi Art: The Uda school is not a well known swordsmith, It is a group of swordsmiths that started in the Kamakura period, passed through the Nanbokucho period and continued to the end of the Edo period. The Kamakura period and the Nanbokucho period are called Ko Uda. and the Muromachi period is called Uda.
This Kunimitsu was made around the middle Muromachi period.
