This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : copper single habaki.
Blade length : 72.5 cm or 28.54 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.055cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.25 cm or 0.88 inches.
Kasane : 0.68 cm or 0.26 inches.
The weight of the sword: 815grams.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick with deep sori and longer kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach Juji style texture.
Hamon :Nie deki round shaped gumowe midare and asha work bright and clear hamon.
Inside of the blade, kinsuji and sunagashi work. Bo-shi is rather midarekomi round shape.

Special feature: Mottoyasu is a third son of the Motonao
and called Oku Tugiuemon and younger brother of the Mototaka.
The sword is very close to Motohira and Mototaka.

Nakago’s Shinogi line from the middle of Nakagojiri.
There is a characteristic that it shifts a little. In this work, the line
reaches the center of Nakagojiri, so you can judge it as a pseudonym
just by looking at it. (This is a sign to prevent Motohira from making a

However, this work is a bright and clear work, and it is close to the
main course, such as a round gunome midare with a deep scent, aranie
with ashi and sunagashi in the blade, and kinsuji working. Probably it is
a work that has been inscribed with the inscription removed, but it is
recommended as Iai -to because it is good for ornamental use.
