This sword belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled single Habaki.
Blade length : 35.6 cm or 14.01 inches.
Sori :0.4 cm or 0.15 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.14cm or 1.23 inches.
Kasane : 0.66cm or 0.25 inches.
The weight of the sword 335 grams.
Era : Gendai Heise 3Nen (1991).
Shape : Mihaba is a wide Kasane thick mitsumune with a little Sakizori, and it is a Nanbokucho style Taihai work with suken and bonji on the Ji
Hi and Bonji are carved on the back.
Jigane :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach and utsuri appear.
Hamon :Niedeki Gunome Midare with Ko-Ashi.
Bo-shi is midarekomi and turns back

Special feature: Yoshimitsu is the most highly regarded swordsmith of modern swords. He was born on October 16th, Showa 23rd(1948) in Niigata prefecture.
In Showa 44(1969), he studied under the Yoshihara Yoshindo, Yoshihara Shouji at the age of 22.
He studied very hard and got the permission for making Japanese swords from Japanese government at Showa 50(1975). After several years, He got a lot of prizes like the prize of The Agency for Cultural Affairs chief.
Takamatsu miya Imperial prince prize and became Mukansa sword maker.
He is well known Yamadorige utsusi which sword is marvelous one of the most famous Gendai swords. We don’t come across a wonderful work bizen Choji midare sword.
The real Yamadorige sword belong to Uesugi family’s national treasure.
Oono Yoshimitsu succeeded to restore to original shape and Hamon.
He must be the most well known Bizen Choji midare sword maker and exceed Ningen Kokuho(human living national treasure).

The engraving made by himself. He learned sculpture from Kokeguchi Senshu. The Jigane is Koitame Hada with Midare Utsuri. The Hamon is Gunome Midare with Ko-Ashi. The Boshi is Midarekomi and pointed shape. This Wakizashi is published in the book”Ono Yoshimitsu Juka Choji no Sekai”#19. The book published by Hayashibara Museum.

This blade is a copy of Kanemitsu and has its own carving.
We highly recommend the masterpiece.
