Among the five Yamato schools, this sword has the characteristics of Senjuin.
The blade is a masterpiece.
Thare are many stunning works in the Hamon.
The Kamakura period. Blade length is 2 Shaku 2 Sun 8 Bu.
Written by Mr. Tanobe.

This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.

Hamon :Gunome midare is mixed with Nie deki suguha based and Koashi is mixed with Tobiyakki. In the blade, fine sunagashi and kinsuji work actively. Bo-shi is Midarekomi style.
There are also double Ha. It becomes hamon with a lot of changes such as hakikake.

Special feature: At the foot of Mt. Wakakusa in Nara, there is a Senjuin temple dedicated to Senjuin Kannon, and the sword makers that existed here are said to be the Senjuin school.
It is said that there were two sword smithes, Yukinobu and Shigehiro, at the earliest in the Yamato 5 school in the latter half of the Heian period.
This work is a work around the end of the Kamakura period, and as Senjuin, there is a change in the blade, and Bo-shi is also a
masterpiece that makes you feel fierce, and Mr Tanobe sensei’s
Sayagaki also describes the same content.
We recommend this masterpiece by all means.

From Aoi Art: Senju-in is one of the five Yamato schools, and Ho-sho, Tegai, Taima, senjuin, and Shikkake were active in Yamato at that time. It is believed that it was made mainly for temple monks. Whether it was inscribed in Nakago or very few, was it a habit?
Or I don’t know if Mei disappeared after being rubbed up later, but I realize that there are too many unbranded ones.
It is unknown whether so many swordsmiths were active in that narrow Yamato (today Nara Prefecture).
In any case, this work has only one Mekugi ana, but there is no doubt that it is O-Suriage mumei. It is a work which I highly recommend.
