Explanation:This sword was made by Akamatsu Taro Kanetsugu on lucky day, March 1999.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :　Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 73.3 cm or 28.85 inches.
Sori : 1.9cm or 0.74 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.43cm or 1.35 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.83cm or 1.11 inches.
Kasane : 0.76cm or 0.29 inches.
The weight of the sword 915 grams.
Era : Modern times 1999.
Shape : Wide and thick Katana with rather deep Sori, longer Kissaki.
Jigane : Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with thick Nioikuchi and Ashi.
In the Ha, there are Sunagashi and Kinsuji.
Boshi is Midarekomi and pointed shape with Kinsuji.

Special feature: Akamatsu Taro Kanetsugu is called Kanesada Kimura.
He is a very popular modern swordsmith who lives at Yashiro in Kumamoto pref (He was born in 1951).
The signature of this school add the signature Akamatsu Taro
on the top of the signature.
Kanehiro, Kaneteru, and other swordsmiths.
This school make Tamahagane by their own way not used regular Tamahagane
which was made by NBTHK.
So the Jigane is slightly different from general Tamahagane.

From Aoi Art: Akamatsutato Kanetsugu made swords. He is good at copy of Kiyomaro.
In Kyushu province, there is a tendency for solid swords to be preferred, and modern swords are also influenced by it.
Moriyoshi is active as Mukansa swordsmith. Akamatsutaro Kanetsugu also produced a similar work. His Hamon is Gunome Midare with thick Nioikuchi and many Kinsuji. It reminiscent of Kiyomaro. This blade is masterpiece of his swords.
