Signature: Hizen Koku Mutsu Kami Tadayoshi

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku and regular
saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo-jyo ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :
Blade length : 53.2cm or 20.9 inches.
Sori : 1.1cm or 0.43 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.11cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.22cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.64cm or 0.25 inches.
The weight of the sword 520 grams.
Era: Edo period.
Shape: Wide and thick sword, Sori is regular but Kissaki is longer. Good shape sword.
Jigane: Ko-Utame-Hada well grained, Jinie attached with Konuka-Hada. Thin Chikei is visible, beautiful Hizen Jigane.
Shinogiji: Koitame with Masame.
Hamon: Niedeki Suguha with deep Nioikuchi. Ko-Ashi and Yo worked.
Boshi:Togari round shape Hakikake style.

Special feature: Hizen Koku Mutsu Kami Tadayoshi is the 1st son of Oumi
Daijo Tadahiro and he became the 3rd generation. He
receives the Mei Mutsu Daijo in 1660 and received Mutsu
Kami in the next year. His father Tadahiro was dead in
1686 but he also died in 7 years, when he was only 50
years old. He was dead very early so he did not made so
many swords. Also, he usually made swords with his
father, so the Mei is engraved with his father’s name but not
his name. Swords was engraved his name is very rare. we
strongly recommend you this sword.

From Aoi Art: The shape of this sword is good, Jigane is highest ranking.
Hamon is Suguha with soft Niokuchi. Ko-Ashi and Yo
worked. Swords engraved with Tadahiro’s Mei is very rare.
