shinshin to: Jyo Jyo saku ranking: Satsuma.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Saijyou saku ranking.
The blade was polished by highest ranking polisher.
Habaki :Gold wrapped double habaki.
Blade length :　72.73　cm or 28.63 inches.
Sori :1.82cm or 0.717 inches.
Mekugi : 1　
Width at the hamachi : 3.4 cm or 1.338 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.47cm or 0.97 inches.
Kasane :0.73 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is long and wide
and thick with deep sori and big oo kissaki style gorgeous sword.
Jigane :Koitame hada and masanagare with jinie attach and chikei work.
Hamon :Nie deck deep nioikuchi gunome midare
and in Hamon, there are sunagashi and kinsuji work
Boshi: Midarekomi and hakikake kissaki with kinsuji.

Special feature:He was a swordsmith of Satsuma province,
present Kagoshima prefecture, and followed Miyahara Masachika school.
He changed his signature to ‘Hoki no kami Ason Masayuki’ at Kansei 1st (1789).
He was well known as ‘Masayuki’ and worked actively Kansei era.
‘Masayoshi’ was his first signature and this work was made
when he was only 22 years old. This sword has Itame-hada well grained
and Masame-hada mixed with long Chikei work.
Hamon is active deep Nioikuchi blackish Jigane
which is typical Motohira and Masayuki.
Both of them are top ranking swordsmiths
at Shinshinto era in Satsuma province.
Nice Jigane consist on long Chikei and thick Jinie attach
and also active wild feeling temper line.

From Aoi Art : Shinshinto Hoki Kami Masayuki and Motohira both sword makers are right
and left wing top ranking sword makers shinto Jyo Jyo saku ranking.
The blade is almost same work like active notare gunome midare
with chikei and inside of the Hamon are working sunagashi kinsuji and also yubashiri.
I think both sword makers tried to make Shizu, Masamune utsushi.
Some swords were cut the signature and re made as Koto sword makers
like Shizu, Masamune and so on.
This sword is very long, wide and thick with deep sori and ookissaki gorgeous sword.
We strongly recommend this sword for you.
Satsuma sword makers made nice swords which are looking
Nanbokucyo style gorgeous swords. So bad person remove the signature
and changed to Koto blades like Naoe Shizu, Tametsugu and other sword makers.
So most of these sword engraved Bo-hi in order to hide the Masame had perfectly.
In fact the sword became Mumei high ranking Koto blade.
This sword is wide and thick Ookissaki style gorgeous sword and also nice Jigane and Hamon.
