This blade belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: copper single Habaki.
Blade length: 75.3 cm or 29.64 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi: 3.27 cm or 1.28 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.39 cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.83 cm or 0.32 inches.
Era: Late Edo period. 1866
Shape: The blade is wide and thick with small sori and longer kissaki.
Jitetsu: Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach nice texture.
Hamon : Nie deki, Gunome Midare hamon.
Bo-shi is a round shape.

Special feature: Suishinsi Masahide is 1 of the most famous Shinshin-to swordsmith. He was born in 1750 at Dewa and learned to make swords from Sendai Kunikane and Miyagawa Yoshihide. After that, he moved to Edo and joined the Akimoto family, and studied Bizen-Den from Sekido Korekazu, Soshu-Den from Tsunahiro. He can make numerous styles swords and also his sword is popular because of its sharpness. He has more than 100 students and Taikei Naotane, Hosokawa Masayoshi is one of those.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Unique shape iron Tsuba, Ume flower is engraved with silver color.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo, Eboshi hat, and Aoi leaves are engraved with gold, silver, and copper color.
Saya: Black color.
Menuki: Shakudo, a crane is engraved with gold color.
