This swordsmith Oyama Kazusanosuke Nobuyoshi,
He received a Kanji character(Masa 正) from Kato Kiyomasa.
And he changed his name to Masakuni.
This blade is typical of this school. a masterpiece of his sword.
Blade length is 2 Shaku 3 Sun 6 Bu Han.

This sword belongs to Jyo　jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length: 71.7 cm or 28.23 inches.
Sori :1.6cm or 0.63 inches.

Width at the hamachi: 3.26cm or 1.28 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.87 cm or 1.13 inches.
Kasane :0.75 cm or 0.3 inches.

Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape: The blade is wide and thick with rather deep sori and longer Kissaki gorgeous healthy blade.
Jigane: Itame hada well grained with jinie attach and also small Utsuri appear typical Do-tanuki Jigane.
Shinoki ji:Itame hada and masaje hasda mived like giigane.
Hamon :Nie deki suguha based kogunome midare, small asha, sunagasi, kinsuji work.

Special feature: It is said that the School descended from the Euju School.
The swordsmith of this school worked for a famous military commander Kato Kiyomasa in
the Ko-to period. Masakuni and Kiyomasa were two famous swordsmiths in this period.
They forged many swords including spears and Naginatas appropriate for actual
warfare.
Kozuke (No) Suke made this spear.
The inscriptions on other works show that he lived
at Kikuchi and worked around Bunroku to Keicho era.

Although this work is slid up, the inscription remains completely, and the blade pattern is also a wild work with small legs in the straight blade and the tip is disturbed. The appearance of the Keicho new sword is unusual in its appearance.
This work is wide, thick, warped, deeply warped, and has a solid sword, and it has good meat placement and is healthy.
It is a wild work with one eye-catching hole, and it is described in Mr. Tanobe sensei’s Sayagaki as a typical Yushinya with a remarkable ghostly character. This is work I would definitely recommend.
