This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Shakudo habaki with wave design is engraved.
Blade length : 52.4 cm or 20.62 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi:  2
Width at the hamachi: 3.0 cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.11 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era: Edo period, around Kanei era.
Shape: The blade is wide and thick with deep sori and long kissaki nice healthy-looking shape.
Jigane: Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. The Jigane is beautiful Hizen Konuka Hada.
Hamon: Nie Deki, Suguha base Hamon with thick Nioikuchi and soft Ashi.
Boshi is round in shape with thick Nioikuchi. This is a masterpiece of Tadahiro’s Wakizashi.

Special feature: Tadahiro the Second forged this katana.
He was born Heisakuro Hashimoto as a legitimate son of Tadayoshi the First.
Tadahiro was only19 years old when his father passed away in1632
but he was enough skillful to forge a sword at that time.
Tadahiro designated the Omi-Daijo_ in 1641, aged 29
and continued not only forging sword but also supervised many pupils until his death in 1693,
aged 80. He is known as a skillful swordsmith almost all works are above the standard hizen-to.
He had been forged sword for a long period of time to leave the largest number of
swords among the swordsmiths of Hizen school.
He was good at both of Suguha-Hamon and Choji-midare Hamon.
Especially the beauty of jitetsu called konuka-hada is appreciated as the best among the hizen-to.
His swords are ranked at the Owaza-mono because of their sharpness.

From Aoi Art: Hizen blade looks come from Enjyu school but bigg difference is Hizen blade doesn’t appear Utsuri and hizen blade Hamon more thick nioikuchi.
This wakizashi is very nice middle Suguha Hamon with thick nioikuchi.
Boshi is a thick nioikuchi round shape.
