Signature : Nobukuni (from late Nanbokucho period to Ouei era)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This 1st generation Nobukun is JyoJyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished
Blade length : 56.1 cm or 22.08 inches.
Sori : 2.2 cm or 0.86 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.58 cm or 1.01 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.79 cm or 0.70 inches.
Kasane : 0.52 cm or 0.20 inches.
Era : late Nanbokucho period.
Shape : Slightly cut shortened but there is ample length.
The Sori is deep.Elegant shape Wakizashi.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with fine jinie attached. Utsuri works are appearing.
Hamon : Konie Deki Gunome Midare with mixture of Choji Midare.
Koashi is attached and Yo activities are applied.
Boshi is slight notare style and round ended.

Special feature : The Nobukuni was reported as a son of the Ryokai Hisanobu
and a student of the Sadamune.
This blade was made by Nobukuni 1st generation around late Nanbokucho period.
This blade has nice Midare Utsuri and beautiful Jigane.
The Choji Midare Hamon is impressive. The shape is also elegant.
