Dai : Katana in Shirasaya with Koshirae(NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Token)

Signature:　Mumei(unsigned) attributed as Kozori

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :　Silver single habaki.
Blade length :70.0 cm or 27.55 inches.
Sori : 2.1 cm or 0.82 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.035cm or 1.19 inches.
Width at the Kissaki :2.39cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.595 cm or 0.23 inches.
The weight of the sword: 685 grams.
Era : Nanbokucho period.
Shape : The blade is Osuruage mumei(cut shortened)
with bo-hi on both sides of the blade and deep sori
and also long Kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane: Koitame had well grained with jinie attach and visible to see the texture well.
Hamon: Koniedeki and Nioideki small cyoji midare continued from the Hamachi to Kissaki area with small ash, sunagashi and small kinsuji work.

Special feature: This sword was appraised as Kozori school by NBTHK Hozon Paper. And also this blade was appraised as also Osafune Morishige by NBTHK Kicho Paper so many years ago.
The founder of the Kozori school Morihisa early Nanbokucyo period. Generally speaking, Kozori school images rather small size and small cyouji midare hamon. but Yasumitsu, Morimitsu Tomomitsu Iesuke and so on work vividly.
Daimyo Uesugi Kenshin loved Kozori Kanemitsu as one of his famous swords 35 pieces. and other famous sword Hidemitsu is well known sword as Jyuyo Bunkazai national treasure. This sword is nice Jigane and active hamon and also midarekomi boshi.

From Aoi Art: Generally speaking the Hamon of the Kozori is small-sized with small Cyoji midare like Katayama Ichimonji.　 The Gamon is not active temper line but hataraki in Ha is nice. the blade is not flashy but never gets boring sword.

Blade length:51.3 cm or 20.19 inches.
Sori :1.0cm or 0.39 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.52cm or 0.99 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.11cm or　0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.73cm or 0.28 inches.
The weight of the sword 495 grams.
Era: Late Muromachi period to early Edo period.
Shape: Osuriage Mumei Wakizashi.
There are Bo-Hi and Soe-Hi on both side of the blade.
Jigane: Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. The Jigane is beautiful.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare and Choji Midare.
Boshi is Midarekomi style.

Special feature: There is a signature Moriie with gold inlay.
But the blade is not so old. We guess that the blade is similar to Sukesada.

Koshirae :
Saya : like the trunk of a cherry tree.
Tsuba : Round shape Shakudo　Tsuba, The rim is covered with gold.
Menuki : Shakudo, family crest is engraved with gold color.
Fuchi: Shakudo,family crest is engraved with gold color.
Kashira: horn.
Kozuka: Shakudo, family crest is engraved with gold color.
