Showa 43 Nen 8 Gatsu hi.

Explanation: The sword was made in August 1968 by Tadayoshi.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :　Silver double hanaki with a family crest.
Blade length :　　74.2cm or 29.2 inches.
Sori : 2.1 cm or 0.83 inches.
Mekugi : 　1
Width at the hamachi : 3.49cm or 1.37 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.41cm or 0.94inches.
Kasane :0.68 cm or 0.27 inches.
The weight of the sword 860 grams.
Era : Showa 43.（１９６8）
Shape : The blade is wide(3,49cm)and thick
with deep Sori and Ikumi Kissaki style.
Jigane : Koitame hada well grained with Jinie attach beautiful and nice texture.
Hamon :Nie deki with deep Nioikuchi, ashi and soft Habuchi.
Sunagashi and Kinsuji work.

Special feature:Tadayoshi Kawashima, real name was Makoto Kawashima
was born in Taisho 12 and his father
is Zenzaemon Kawashima. He learned the technique from
his father and in 1966 it was designated as an intangible
cultural property of May Prefecture.
He was the managing director of the All Japan Swordsman
Association and received the 16th Mainichi Newspaper
Award without inspection. Honorary Chairman’s Award,
Encouragement AwardPassed the special prize, the
excellence prize 3 times, and the effort prize 2 times.

Tadayoshi, who grew up there, has produced numerous works under the guidance of his father. It is excellent in
Bizen-den and is also used in Soshu Bizen-den. He won many awards and became Mukasa swordsmith.
Mukansa is the exemption of examination and it means he is one
of the top-ranking swordsmiths in Modern time.
At the end of Edo period, Korekazu, Naotane Masahide
Naokatsu made like his deep Nioikuchi temper line.
