Jidai(era) : Early of Muromachi period

Special feature: Yagamane Nanako plate. Lychees are engraved with gold color.
According to the NBTHK paper, the item was made around the early of the Muromachi period. At this period, many wars in Japan finished, politics become stable and peaceful. So sword fitting’s design also starts to become artistic. This is one of the first artistic fittings.
Ko-Kinko is not a specific person or school, it is mean crafters who do not belong to Goto school and also Shoami school.
