This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Silver foiled double Habaki(a part is missing)
Blade length: 46.36 cm or 18.25 inches.
Sori : 0.3 cm or 0.11 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi: 3.07 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.29 cm or 0.90 inches.
Kasane :0.69 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era: Edo period around Enpo era.
Shape: Wide and thick Wakizashi with rather deep Sori.
The blade is healthy.
Jigane: Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. The Jigane is beautiful Yamashiro Jigane.
Hamon: From Hamachi is Suguha and then Nie Deki Gunome Midare with many Ashi. In the Ha, there are Kinsuji.
Special feature: Izumi Kami Rai Kinmichi 3rd was a swordsmith from Mino province to Kyoto. The first generation established a solid position as Kyo to Goban Swordsmith and continued to maintain a stable position thereafter.
The 3rd generation is making wide, thick and solid swords while the production of swords in the Japan is declining.
Koshirae: Higo Koshirae.
Saya: Black Saya with some pattern.
Tsuba : Iron Tsuba with arabesque pattern.
Menuki: Shakudo, ink and brush are engraved.
Fuchikashira: Iron with arabesque pattern.
Kozuka: Wari Kogai: Kojiri : Iron with arabesque pattern.
