The blade was polished.
Habaki :　Gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 39.1 cm or 15.3 inches.
Sori :0.8cm or 0.31 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.33cm or 1.31 inches.
Kasane : 0.74 cm or 0.29 inches.
The weight of the sword： 470 grams.
Era : Edo period. Kanei era.
Shape : Wide and thick Shobu style sword. Shinogi-ji also wide and Sori is regular.
Jigane : Ko-Itame-Hada well grained and Jinie attached. Chikei is visible.
Hamon : Nie-deki deep Nioikuchi Suguha with soft Ashi. Boshi is round shape Yakisage style.

Special feature: Shigekuni is from Yamato, Tegai school and worked for Tokugawa
Ieyasu and also his 10th son, Tokugawa Yoshinobu at Kishu Wakayama province.
His sword has 2 styles, one is Soshuden style with deep Nioikuchi,
and one is Suguha Yamato Tegai style. He also made many swords which mixed Soshuden style and Tegai style.
