Signature: Soshu Ju Hiromasa(late Muromachi period) 2nd generation

This sword belongs to Jyo-jyo ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled single Habaki.
Blade length: 23.64 cm or 9.037 inches.
Sori : 0 cm or 0 inches.
Mekugi: 2
Width at the hamachi: 2.16cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.55cm or 0.216 inches.
The weight of the sword 125 grams.
Era: Late Muromachi period around Meiou era. 1492.
Shape: Slightly small Tanto. Mitsumune style.
On the Omote side, Ken and dragon are engraved,
On the Ura side, the Daikoku god is engraved.
Jigane: Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. The Jigane is beautiful There are Utsuri.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare, Hitatsura Hamon.
Boshi is round and Hakikake style.

Special feature: Hiromasa is said to be a clan of Hiromitsu. We guess that Hiromasa was a grandson of Hiromitsu.
Wakizashi and Tanto are often produced in Bunan, Hotoku, Choroku, and Bunmei eras.

This engraving is very nice by a skilled craftsman. But the engraving was done later. The blade has passed the NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon. because it is well done.
