Katana in Shirasaya with Koshirae(NBTHK Hozon Token)
Signature: Hizen Kuni Tadayoshi 8th. generation.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length: 69.6 cm or 27.4 inches.
Sori : 1.4 cm or 0.55inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi: 3.0cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 215 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane: 068 cm or 0.27 inches.
The weight of the sword 670grams.
Era : Late Edo period Ansei era.
Shape: The blade is wide and thick with suitable sori and medium Kissaki.
Jigane: Koitame-hada well grained with Kinie attach beautiful nice Hizen
blade.
Hamon: Konie Deki middle Sugaya with soft Habuchi beautiful hizen middle
Hamon.

Special feature: Hashimoto Shinza-emon is adopted son of 7th generation
Tadayoshi. After receiving 8th generation, he didn’t accept
receive the title Jyo Or Kami even if many sword experts
recommend him. At Ansei May 26, he passed away.
Generally, Ko-dai Tadayoshi means this swordsmith
8th generation.

Koshirae :
Saya: Very beautiful Kaeragi Saya. (Sharkskin)
Tsuba: Copper saya.
Menuki: the dragon is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: On the shakudo Nanako plate, horse riding tools are
engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: 8th generation Hashimoto Shinzaiemon Tadayoshi
is called Ko-dai Tadayoshi. He is the most expert of Hizen sword.
He made middle Suguha like 2nd generation Tadayohiro which is
typical beautiful middle Suguha Hamon bright and clear.
Koshirae is also very nice quality.
