Era : End of Muromachi period. Tai-ei era
Shape: Small Mitsumune style Tanto with regular width and thickness.
Jigane: Ko-Itame-Hada well grained, Jinie attached and Shirake Utsuri visible.
Hamon: Hamon on both side is the same. Gunome-Midare go up and down. Kinsuji worked.

special feature: Masashige is Senko Muramasa’s student. He usually makes Tanto and his style is same as Muramasa.

Koshirae : Aikuchi style
Fuchikashira: Iron plate. The flower pattern is engraved.
Saya: Black Ishime plate.
Menuki: Shakudo plate. The flower is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: Masashige is a swordsmith of Senko school and is a student of Muramasa. His style is the same as his master’s. A lot of his sword was passed NBTHK Juyo Token, his works are popular as Muramasa swords.
