This sword belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold foiled single Habaki.
Blade length(nagasa) :　46.7　cm or 18.38 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Mekugi: 　1
Width at the hamachi : 2.63 cm or 1.03 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.93 cm or 0.75 inches.
Kasane : 0.42 cm or 0.16 inches.
Era: Late Edo period.
Shape: Regular width and thickness, nice shape Wakizashi.
Jitetsu: Ko-Itame Hada and Mokume Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
There are clear Ustsuri.
Hamon: Nioi Deki, Choji Midare with thick Nioikuchi and long Ashi.
The Babuchi is soft.
Boshi: Notare round shape.

Special feature: It is said that Taikei Naotane is the best swordsmith in the ShinShinto.
Especially his Bizen Den and So Den works are excellent.
The distinctive feature of the Jigane is its spiral pattern.
The Nakago shape is Kurijiri with Kesho Yasuri.

Koshirae :
Saya : Red color Inro Kizami Saya.
Tsuba: Round shape iron Tsuba with openwork.
It looks like Tokei Tsuba.
Menuki: Copper, horse is engraved.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo Nanako, horse is engraved with gold and copper color.
Kozuka: Shakudo Nanako, pine tree and horse is are engraved with gold color.
Kogatana: There is a signature”Bishu ? Kami Kunizane”.

From Aoi Art: This blade is his specialty Bizen Den.
The Hamon is thick Nioikuchi. We guess that is a copy of something like Kanemitsu. This is a wonderful piece.
