Signature: Mumei attributed as Hizen Tadakuni.

saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo joy saku to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length: 71.7 cm or 28.23 inches.
Sori :2.2 cm or 0,87 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi:3.0 cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.25 cm or 0.89 inches.
Kasane : 0,7 cm or 0.275 inches.
The weight of the sword 745 grams.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era. 1661.
Shape: The blade was cut shortened rather wide and thick with deep sori and longer kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane: Koitame Hada well grained with Jinie attach beautiful fine texture.
Hamon: Nie Deki Gunome Midare with thick nioikuchi active temper line with
Sunagashi and Kinsuji scatter in Hamon.
Bo-shi is round in shape.

Special feature: Hizen Tadakuni was a son of the Yoshiie who was a
younger brother first-generation Tadayoshi.
His name was Hashimoto Rokurozaemon and first, his first name was Hironori.
He got Harima Daijo name at Kan-ei 11th(1634) and changed his name to Tadakuni.
He cut the signature as Hizen Ju Harima Daijo Tadakuni,
Harima Daijo Fujiwara Tadakuni and Hizen Ju Harima Nyudo Fujiwara Kyutetsu.
He was called Wakihizen(depart from the mainstream) but his fantastic
the subject is a quite well-known reputation even around Hizen province.
He sometimes made Daisaku(made sword for another famous sword
maker) Sometimes He helped to make first-generation Tadayoshi
(Musashi Daijo era) and 2nd generation Omi Daijo Tadahiro making
summer clouds temper line.

Koshirae :
Saya: On the black color saya, a lot of dots are engraved with Urusi. very nice!
Tsuba: On the thick round iron Tsuba, some design is engraved openwork
which looks like Owari style.
Menuki: On the shakudo plate, kirin (Chinese imaginary animal)is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikshira:On the iron Fuchi, a shish dog is engraved with gold color.
Kashira: On the iron Kashira, a peony flower is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: This sword is oo Suriage Mumei and attributed as Tadakuni. If the blade is original shape like this Hamon, the sword must be passed Juyo Token.
Masahiro and Tadakuni both, which I have the most praise for in Shinto sword makers.
It shows the workmanship that corresponds to the masterpiece sword of the sword.
Reminds me of a large-scale cumulonimbus floating in a white cloud in the deep blue sky
over the mountains on the right, heading from Saga to Nagasaki going through by train.
The beautiful work of Hizen sword that made the figure look like a sword is full of variety,

be asserted as Tadakuni and Masahiro. The shape is also perfect for Iai sword.
