(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This swords belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : silver single habaki with family crest.
Blade length : 72.8 cm or 28.66 inches.
Sori : 1.9 cm or 0.74 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 3.59cm or 1.41 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.9cm or 0.74 inches.
Kasane : 0.72 cm or 0.28 inches.
The weight of the sword 1045 grams.
Era : modern times. 2004.
Shape : Wide(3.56cm) and thick blade with rather large Sori.
O-Kissaki.
Jigane : For the use of homemade iron, Ko Itame Hada and Ko Mokume Hada well grained with Jinie attach. The Jigane reminds of Yamashiro Jigane.
Hamon : Ko Nie Deki, active Choji Midare with long Ashi.
Boshi is Midarekomi style.

Special feature: An imposing katana modeled on a koto of Kamakura period.
Horimono: Bo-hi is carved on the both sides of the blade.
Jitetsu: Jinie appears on the itame-hada.
Hamon: Nie-deki. Fascinating gunome-midare includes choji aimed at a famous sword named Yamadorige owned by Uesugi Kenshin.
Akamatsu Taro Kanetsugu is one of a very popular modern swordsmiths who lives at Yatsushiro in Kumamoto pref. He was born in 1951 and learned under his father Kimura Kaneshige. Kanetsugu’s brothers are also femous swordsmiths.

Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.

Width at the Kissaki : 2.74cm or 1.07 inches.
Kasane : 0.76 cm or 0.29 inches.
The weight of the sword 735 grams.
Era : modern times. 2004.
Shape : Wide(3.35cm) and thick blade with rather large Sori.

He made a unique and solid work. He devise homemade iron and use unique and fine Jigane. This Daisho’s production date is same. It is a carefully crafted swords.
The Katana has a quiet atmosphere. The Wakizashi has an ambitious atmosphere. Both are elegant works and have the same workmanship as Mukansa.
