This blade belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.

Blade length: 71.2 cm or 28.03 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi: 2.83 cm or 1.11 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 1.75 cm or 0.68 inches.
Kasane : 0.68 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era: Middle Muromachi period.
Shape: The blade is Oosuriage Mumei, regular width and thickness with nice sori and longer Kissaki.
Jigane: Itame-Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hadame looks like Norisige can be seen well. There is Kitae-ware around Hamachi
Hamon :Nie Deki, Suguha and Notare Ha with Ko-Ashi.
There are double Ha and Uchinoke. In-ha, Sunagashi, and Kinsuji.
Boshi is Midarekomi.

Special feature: The Uda school is said to have originated in the Yamato province. The founder Kunimitsu moved to Ecchu province in the last Kamakura period. It is said that his son, Kunifusa learned under Norishige who created a peculiar texture of Jitetsu compounded soft and hard iron commonly called Matsukawa-Hada (Norishige-Hada). Consequently, the texture of Jigane is worthy of appreciation of Uda School that was very good at making use of well-tempered iron’s special qualities. Especially conspicuous Chikei appeared strongly. Oei era (1394~) is the boundary between Ko-Uda and Uda.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Round iron Tsuba. Chinese radish and openworks are engraved.
Fuchikashira: Iron plate, river’s landscape, and a boat are engraved.
Saya: Black color Saya
Menuki: Some design is engraved.
