Signature: Mumei attributed as Iwato Ichimonji.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular
saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished by the high ranking polisher.
Habaki: Gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length: 69.8 cm or 27.48 inches.
Sori : 2.3 cm or 0.91ches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi: 2,96 cm or 1.17 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 1.64 cm or 0.646 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.252 inches.
The weight of the sword 625 grams.
Era: Later Kamakura period to early Nanbokucho period. 1334.
Shape: The blade is O-suriage Mumei sword with regular width and thickness,
deep sori and longer Kissaki.
Jigane: Mokume Hada very well grained with Jinie attach and Chikei work and also Utsuri appear.
Shinogi Ji; Koitame Hada and Mokume hada mixed and Masame hada.
Hamon: Konie Deki Choji Midare continued from the Hamachi to kissaki
and long Choji Midare mixed. In Hamon, there is some Kinsuji work.
Boshi is round shape Inazuma style kinsuji work.

Special feature: Ichimonji school was started around the early Kamakura period. The initial called Ko-Ichimonji, then Ichimonji worked around the middle of Kamakura is called Fukuoka Ichimonji, end of Kamakura period called Yoshioka Ichimonji, then Katayama Ichimonji.
And the Ichimonji was made around the early of Nanbokucho period, made at Bizen Wakegun Iwato, called Iwato Ichimonji. There are many Ichimonji but their works are very same. Most of their swords are Mumei so difficult to says which Ichimonji is it. It will depend on the appraiser.

Ichimonji, but it is a work that can be taken as Katayama Ichimonji.
