This sword belongs to Jyo-jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher
Habaki : copper single Habaki with gold color.
Blade length : 71.1 cm or 27.9 inches.
Sori : 1.2cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi: 3.04cm or 1.19 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.4 cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.9cm or 0.35 inches.
The weight of the sword 835 grams.
Era : End of Edo period, Keio era
Shape: Wide and thick blade. Regular Sori and longer Kissaki. Wonderful dragon and
plum trees are engraved on the front side.
Jigane :Ko-Itame grained Muji style Jigane.
Hamon: From Hamachi, Suguha then round Choji-Midare. Ashi worked. Boshi is
Midarekomi round shape.

Special feature: Kato Yoshikuni was studying from Cho-un-sai Tsunatoshi and
made Yokohama style swords with Choji-Midare like
Tsunatoshi. We do not know why he did not engrave his
signature to this sword, but the carving is very gorgeous.
