This sword belongs to Jyo-jyo ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper double Habaki.
Blade length : 39.5cm or 15.5 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi :1.22cm or 0.48 inches.
Kasane : 0.22 cm or 0.08 inches.
The weight of the sword 400 grams.
Era : Edo period Manji era, around 1658
Shape : Katakiri Style rear shape sword.
Engraved characters and sword on frontside, plum on backside.
Jigane :Koitame-hada with Jinie
Hamon : Niedeki-Suguha based soft Gunome-midare.
Boshi is round shape.

Special feature: Echino ZenShu Kanetane is Echizen’s swordsmith
worked around Manji era and make Katakiri-ba style
sword . Quite a lot of Echizen swordsmiths carve the blade. I think
this is the result of efforts to increase the demand for swords because the demand for
swords dropped sharply in the Edo period.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Mokko style iron Tsuba. Pattern and moon is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Shibuichi plate. Dragon is engraved.
Saya: Glay saya with black Urushi pattern
Menuki: Bird and flower are engraved.
Kozuka: Shibuichi plate. The flower is engraved with gold color.
Kogatana: Has mei as Tanba Kami Yoshimichi.
