Special feature: The Uda school is said to have originated in the Yamato province. The founder Kunimitsu moved to Ettyu province in the last Kamakura period. The texture of jitetsu is a point worthy of appreciation. Especially conspicuous chikei appeals us strongly.
Originally this blade was a very long naginata, a kind of halberd that was one of several similar shapes used attached to a long pole. It is also called a polearm.

From Aoi Art: NBTHK accepted this sword as Juyo Token: Mumei(Ko-Uda). But Dr. Kaoruyama who wrote the Sayagaki says this sword is Sousu Yukimitsu. In our opinion, The and Hamon’s style is different from Ko-Uda. Anyway, this is an excellent sword.
