Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae.
Signature: Shinzaemon Jyo Tadayoshi.
Kaei Kanoe Inu Nigatsu Kichijitsu.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.

Habaki : silver single Habaki
Blade length :  31.55cm or 12.4 inches.
Sori : 0,55cm or 0.21 inches.
Mekugi:  1
Width at the hamachi: 2.43 cm or 0.95 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 1,95 cm or 0.76 inches.
Kasane: 0,46 cm or 0.18 inches.
The weight of the sword 240 grams.

Era : End of Edo period. Ka-ei era.
Shape: Short Wakizashi. Maybe it was Sho of Daisho.
Jigane: Ko-Itame0Hada well grained
Hamon: Nideki-suguha. Boshi is round in shape with Futae-ba.

Special feature: HizenTadayoshi was a swordsmith who worked around end of
Edo period and made many masterpieces. This Tadayoshi is
8th generations but surprisingly, all of 1st to 8th
generation’s forging styles are the same at all. It is difficult to hand down every skill to the next generations, but the Tadayoshi family succeeds to do it from the 1st to the 8th.
This sword is short Wakizashi but it was made very carefully. It is able to see Nashiji and clear Suguha in the sword. Koshirae is also good.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Kawari style Shakudo Tsuba with Tachiage-Mimi. Pine trees’s leaf is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo Nanako plate. Shishi dog is engraved with gold color.
Saya: Black Ishime Saya
Menuki: Horse is engraved with gold color.
