Signature : Mumei (unsigned) attributed as Shitahara.

saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.(repolish fee: 40,000yen )
Habaki : Copper single habaki.
Blade length : 48.3 cm or 19 inches.
Sori : 1.1 cm or 0.433inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi: 2.82 cm or 1.11 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 1.86 cm or 0.732 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.26inches.
The weight of the sword 405 grams.
Era : Edo period Genroku era.1688
Shape: The blade is regular width, thickness with suitable sori and
longer　kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane :Itame hada and mokume hada mixed like Yagumo hada.
Hamon: Niedeki and Notare and inside of the blade work Sunagashi and　kinsuji、There is a kitae in Hamon in the front part of the blade but　not　serious.

Special feature: This sword was made in Musashi Province, and has a unique Jigane and Yakumohada. Completed the texture and gained popularity. Mr. Goto, who used to work at the Japanese Sword Museum, specializes in
that. Many items were purchased and kept in a safe place. Some works have carvings
on the sword. I‘m sometimes taught by him.

Saya :black Nishime ji saya.
Tsuba: On the oval shape iron tsuba, 2 birds are resting under the tree and
Sun, on the backside flower, is engraved.
Fuchikashira: On the Shigiuchi plate, the Ume tree and flower are engraved with gold color.
Menuki: The flower design is engraved with gold color.
Kozuka: On the Shakudo Nanako plate, flowers and peacock are engraved with gold color.
