Ubu nakago and he moved from Echizen to Mino province
with Kaneuji and these sword maker are stream of Mino sword makers.
The Tanto is unusual engraving on the Ji, and wild feeling.
The shape of the nakago looks Hunagata(boat shape) both jigane and Hamon are product
with a deep taste that makes him unique.

This sword belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished Jyo-Jyo kenma.
Habaki: Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 30.6 cm or 12.04inches.
Sori:0.3 cm or 0.11inches.

Width at the hamachi: 2.82 cm or 1.11inches.
Width at the Kissaki: cm or inches.
Kasane: 0.45 cm or 0.17inches.

Era : Nanbokucyo period Enbun Jyoji. 1356.
Shape: The blade is a rather wide and thin typical Manbokucho Enbun Jyuji style.
Jigane: Itame Hada well grained with jinie attach and chikei work fine texture.
Hamon: small notare and gunome midare, togari gunome mixed In hamon sunagashi and kinsuji work.

Special feature: It is a work with a wide-body width and a thin-layered structure in the Nanbokucho dynasties,
and on the front and back are esoteric Buddhist altar tools
Carving a carving is skillful and can be considered after it has been used for religious ceremonies.
Kaneshige is one of the ten students of Masamune. it is very rear to see the Kaneshige with signature.
so most of swords were judged as mumei.
The Sunbobi Tanto is typical Nanbokucho style
which is rather wide and thinwith mitumune style.
The Jigane and Hamon both are different from Shizu style.
Engraving is interesting which was used as religious item.
Probably this Tanto was used as religious ceremony.

From Aoi Art: The hamon of this oshigata is very big different from Juyo Token zufu.
Our oshigata is moch better than that so please watch our Oshigata carefully.
The Tanto is thick noikuchi with soft Habuchi
The Tanto is deep nioikuchi with sunagashi, kinsuji work like
early stage of Hasebe kunishige.
Especially from the Monuuchi to Kissaki hamon is very active deep nioikuchi with sunagasi, kinsuji.
The sword is one of the 10 student of the great masamune.
This Kaneshige is fully demonstrating the magic of Soshu den.
