This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.

The blade was polished by a good polisher.
Habaki : Gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 73 cm or28.74 inches.
Sori 1.7 cm or 0.67 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.24 cm or 1.276 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.43 cm or 0.957 inches.
Kasane : 0.78 cm or 0.3 inches.
The weight of the sword 880 grams.
Era : Showa.
Shape : The sword is wide and thick, has a deep Sori and a long Kissaki. The Bohi are carved on both sides.
Jigane : Well grained Itame-hada, Jinie attached.
Hamon : Nie-deki, Gunome-midare with long Ashi in places. Sunagashi and Kinsuji apparent.
Boshi : Midare-komi with Sunagashi.

Special Feature : The swordsmith was born 1909 in Yamagata pref and became a member
of Nihonto Tanrenkai(Japanese sword and forging society) in 1935 and given the name of Yasutake in 1944
but he made about 30 swords only during his career in the society due to the end of the world war 2.
In 1954, He resumed sword making and left many great swords ; the Tanto in collaboration
with Sakai Hiroshi in 1970, the Tachi dedicated for the Ise Shrine in 1973.
In 1981, he became a Mukansa swordsmith but just 2 years later he passed away at the age of 74.
