(Bizen Koku Osafune Yoshikage, O-suriage Mumei, wide and
thin, O-Kissaki shape and also Midare Utsuri with Hadatachi
Kokoro with little pattern. complexity Midare-Nie with
Hamon. This is excellent peace which was made around
middle of Nanbokucho period)
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku and regular
saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold color single habaki.
Blade length : 50.0 cm or 19.6 inches.
Sori :1.06 cm or 0.41 inches.
Mekugi: 2
Width at the hamachi 3.09 cm or 1.21 inches.
Width at the Kissaki:2.78 cm or 1.09 inches.
Kasane : 0.62cm or 0.24 inches.
The weight of the sword 555 grams.
Era: Nanbokucho period
Shape: O-suriage Mumei. Wide blade. deep Siru and O-kissaki
Jigane: Koitame-hada well grained, Jinie attached. There is Utsuri
Hamon :Nie-deki Choji-midare and Gunome-midare. Boshi is also Cho-ji Midare.

Special feature: Osafune Yoshikage was a son of the great Kagemitsu. He studied from Chikakage.
He made many Nagamaki style swords mainly but he also made
regular style swords Yoshikage continued 3rd generations. I think this sword looks first or second generation.

From Aoi Art: We think this sword was a big Katana but it was cut to be a Wakizashi. Sayagaki by Mr. Tanobe says this is excellent peace.
