This sword belongs to Jyojyo ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length: 69.9 cm or 27.5 inches.
Sori :1.2cm or 0.47 inches.

Width at the hamachi:3.05 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.12 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane: 0.7cm or 0.27 inches.
The weight of the sword 730 grams.
Era : Edo period Knbun era
Shape: Wide and thick blade with regular Sori and longer Kissaki.
Jigane: Ko-Itame-Hada and Ko-Mokume-Hada mixed. Jinie attached beautiful Jigane
Hamon : Ko-Itame-Hada, Ko-Mokume-hada and also Masame-Hada mixed with jinie attach.

Special feature: Oumi Kami Hojyuji Tachibana Masahiro was named Takigawa and was bone at Tajima province. Later on, he moved to
Edo and communicated with grate master Kotetsu.
Studied from him and founded Hojyoji school and became
the master of the school.
There are students like Sadakuni, Kunimasa, Masateru,
Masatsugu and many other popular swordsmiths. This
sword is typical Masahiro sword style like Kotetsu.
Masahiro is well known as cut well swords. so 、many golds
inlaid cutting test swords left.

From Aoi Art: This sword has deep Nioikuchi Suguha based Gunome-
Midare, Masahiro’s nice piece looks the same as Kotetsu.
Especially, The deep Nioikuchi like morning fog and soft and
clear Ashi, well grained Ko-Itame-Hada is very near Kotetsu.
We think this sword is one of his masterpieces.
