This sword belongs to the Saijyo Saku ranking.

The blade was polished. by a Mukansa polisher.
Habaki : silver double habaki.
Blade length: 74.24  cm or 29.23 inches.
Sori:1.21c m or 0.48 inches.
Mekugi: 1 
Width at the hamachi:3.17 cm or 1.248 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.15 cm or 0.846 inches.
Kasane : 0.71cm or 0.28 inches.
The weight of the sword 835 grams.
Era : Edso period Kanei era.
Shape: The blade is long and rather wide and thick with longer kissaki.
Jigane: Koitame-hada well grained with Jinie attach beautiful Hizen Konuka-Hada.
Hamon :Niedeki suguha with soft ash and Yo work.
Bo-shi is a deep nioikuchi round shape.

Special feature::Tadayoshi the First, born Hashimoto Shinzaemon was a swordsmith of Hizen province, present Saga pref.
in Kyushu Island. Both his father and grandfather passed away when Tadayoshi was 13 years old so Tadayoshi learned under Dotanuki Zenbei in Higo province, present Kumamoto pref.
Tadayoshi and Munenaga went to Kyoto to learn under the Umetada School in 1596. Tadayoshi learned forging sword and Munenaga learned the carving.
They returned in 1598. Tadayoshi worked as a retained swordsmith of the Nabeshima family in the domain of Saga. Tadaysohi’s
the first sword inscribed the date was forged in 1600 at the age of 29.
He changed the name to Tadahiro at the occasion of approved
as the Musashi-Daijo in February 1624.
Tadahiro (Tadayoshi) passed away in 1632.
His sword was ranked as a Saijyo-saku O-wazamono in the shin-to period.
The Hizen School placed an extremely important position in the history of this period.
The main Tadayoshi family and derived branches had been developed and prospered.
Tadayoshi inscribed the signature with five characters entire sword forged

Koshirae: gold fittings
tsuba: gold Namako style Tsuba, waves are engraved (120 grams) Mei: Somin Saku.
Fuchi kashira: Gold (60 grams) waves are engraved. Mei: Hakuo-sai ??Yama Saku.
Menuki: Dragon is engraved with gold.
Kojiri, Kurikata: gold plate, waves are engraving.
Saya: On the orange color Saya, thin gold is wrapping.

From Aoi Art: This first-generation Tadayoshi has very healthy and fantastic Jigane and nice Hamon, this sword registered the government registration. Hizen Kuni Tadayoshi changed the signature several times.
First of all, he named Hizen Kuni Tadayoshi and then Hizen Kuni Jyunin Tadayoshi Saku and after that, he named Musashi Daijyo Tadahiro. This blade is the second 2nd name.
The Koshirae is wonderful which solid gold fittings were used.
The Tsuba (120 grams) Fuchigashira about 60 grams, Kojiri and Kurikata 80 gram.
We strongly recommend this top-ranking sword and also Koshirae.
