The blade was polished.

Habaki: Shakudo and silver double habaki.
Blade length : 67.5cm or 26.5inches.
Sori : 2.1cm or 0.82 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi: 3.17cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.22cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane: 0.7cm or 0.27 inches.
The weight of the sword 805 grams.

Era : End of Muromachi period. 1571
Shape: Wide and thick blade with deep Sori and longer Kissaki. Good shape sword
Jigane: Itame-hada and Mokume-hada mixed. Jinie attached with clear Utsuri
Hamon : Niedeki Suguha with Notare, Ashi, deep Nioikuchi. Sunagashi and Kinsuji worked. Boshi is round shape, Hakikake style.

Special feature: Sukesada is Bizen swordsmiths started around early of
Muromachi period and still continue. In the Muromachi period, Harima, Mimasaka, and Bizen province had been
prospered under the protection of the Akamatsu family.
Above all, Bizen province has turned out a great many
talented sword smiths.
Supplying the demand of the Age of Provincial Wars in
Japan, a large number of swords were made there in the
late Muromachi period.
Sukesada has become a synonym for the
Osafune Schoolthough the founder was Mitsutada.
Unfortunately, a deluge devastated the School in Osafune
districts in Tensho era. Such is the way of the world
that even the Osafune School, that prosperity and power
had been unparalleled,
perished in this way in the deluge. Old swords are all that
is left to tell how once the swordsmiths lived.
This blade has a production date of Eiroku era on the
Nakago.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Round iron Tsuba with Tachiage style Mimi. Dragon and clouds are engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo Nanako plate, could dragon is engraved with gold color.
Saya: Black saya with wrinkle pattern.
Kojiri: Iron plate, engraved pattern.
Menuki: Dragon is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: Bishu Osafune Sukesada is the last Bizen sword smiths of
Muromachi period. It is said that they divide their job to
make a lot of swords.
This sword is wide and thick and also has only 1 Mekugi
hole. The shape, Mei, and condition is also good. This sword keeping this quality through many was time. Koshirae is
also nice and it arranged with a dragon design.
