Wakizashi in Koshirae.
Signature: Yoshi-ie(End of Muromachi)
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku and regular
saku)
This sword belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.

Habaki : Gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length: 49.6 cm or 19.52 inches.
Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi: 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.77cm or 1.09 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.01 cm or 0.79 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
The weight of the sword 455 grams.
Era : End of Muromachi period.
Shape: It has about 6 cm of Suriage but it left the Mei perfectly. Regular width and thickness, deep Sori, and longer Kissaki.
Jigane:Ko-Itame-hada and Mokume-hada mixed. Jinie attached with Chikei and Shirake-Utsuri.
Hamon: Niedeki Gunome-midare mixed with Togari Gunome-midare. Thin Sunagashi and Kinsuji worked.
Special feature: There are many sword smith name Yoshi-ie but this Yoshi-ie is an Echizen sword smith and worked around the middle to end of Muromachi period. Yoshi-ie of Ichimonji is one of the famous swordsmith but this Yoshi-ie is not him.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Shakudo plate, pattern is engraved with openwork.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo Ishime plate. Samurai riding horses, rivers are engraved with gold color.
Saya: Black Saya
Menuki: Dragon is engraved with gold color.
Kozuka: Shakudo Nanako plate. Duck and river are engraved with gold color.
Kogatana: Has Mei as Seki Kanemitsu
Kogai: Shakudo Nanako plate. String ball is engraved.

From Aoi Art: This sword was made about 520 years ago but it still in good condition. Koshirae is also old but good. We recommend this sword.
