This sword belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 53.33 cm or 20.99 inches.
Sori :1.82 cm or 0.71 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.55cm or 1.00 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.9 cm or 0.74 inches.
Kasane : 0.67cm or 0.26 inches.
The weight of the sword 435 grams.
Era : around 1319. Late Kamakura period.
Shape : Regular width and thickness O-Suriage Mumei Wakizashi
with large Sori, longer Kissaki.
Jigane : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. There are Utsuri.
Hamon : Ko Nie Deki, Suguha base Gunome Midare.
In the Ha, there are many soft Ashi and Yo.
Boshi is Midarekomi style.

Special feature: Some people says Raikusue is son of Kunitoshi and also some people says he is little brother of Kunitoshi.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Shakudo plate Otafuku style Tsuba. Family crests(Kiri-mon and Kiku-mon) are engraved.
Fuchikashira: Pure gold Nanako plate, Unryu (cloud dragon) are engraved. signature: Goto Kenjo (Kao)
Saya: Black Roiro saya.
Menuki: Pure gold(?) plate, dragon is engraved.
Kurikata: Pure gold plate.
Kozuka: Shakudo Nanako plate. Dragon are engraved with pure gold.

From Aoi Art: The Sayagaki says this is Kunitoshi, so we think it was appraised as Kunitoshi in the past, but NBTHK was appraised it as Kunisue in a few years ago. It is Suriage Mumei but the Jigane is definitely Rai peace. Hamon is Nioi Deki Gunome-midare with Ko-Choji-Midare. Kinsuji worked and there are no flaws. Koshirae is of wonderful quality and we think all of fittings are made from pure gold (we can not sure the material of Menuki) and arrange with dragon design. This must be kept by very high-ranking Samurai or Daimyo. We strongly recommend this sword for you.
