Signature : Mumei (Mihara Masanobu, Late Nanbokucho to Ouei era)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 69.1 cm or 27.20 inches.
Sori : 2.2 cm or 0.86 inches.
Mekugi :  3
Width at the hamachi : 2.83 cm or 1.11 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.75 cm or 0.68 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Nanbokucho Edo period.
Shape : Osuriage Mumei Katana. Regular width and thickness Katana with large Sori.
Jigane : Ko Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
The Jigane is beautiful and soft feeling. There are Midare Utsuri.
Hamon : Ko Nie Deki, Suguha base Haon with Gunome Midare Hamon. The Ha is bright. Boshi is round shape.

Special feature: Masanobu was a swordsmith of Komihara school.
He was active in the end of Nanbokucho period. Especially the Jigane is beautiful and soft feeling It reminiscent of soft and smoooth iron. There are clear Utsuri on the Ji.
The Hamon with a uniform shape Gunome Midare. At a galnce, the blade reminds of Bizen school.

Koshirae :
Saya : Red color Ishime-Ji Saya.
Tsuba : Iron Tsuba, phoenix is engraved with openwork.
Menuki : Shakudo, dragon is engraved.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo Nanako, draon and Kiri Mon are engraved with gold color.
Kojiri: Kiku flower is engraved.
Kozuka: Brass, deer and maple are engraved with gold color.
Kogatana: branch Kiku Mon, Kaminari Yoke, Kinmichi.
Kogai: Brass, deer and maple are engraved with gold color.
