Signature : Mumei (Ko-Uda)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.

Habaki : solid gold 40 grams (about ¥232.000.)
Blade length : 66.6 cm or 2.62 inches.
Sori :1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.

Width at the hamachi :2.98 cm or 1.17 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.95 cm or 0.75 inches.
Kasane : 0.56 cm or 0.22 inches.
The weight of the sword 570 grams.
Era : Late Kamakura period to early Nanbokucyo period.
Shape : O-suriage Mumei. Regular width and thickness. Deep Sori and O-Kissaki.
Jigane :Itame-Hada and Masame-Hada mixed. Jinie attached, there is Chikei, able to see Hadame well.
Shinogi-ji: Itame-Hada and Masame-Hada mixed.Kamakura feeling.
Hamon: Niedeki-Gunome-midare with deep Nie. Sunagashi, Kinsuji, Ashi, Yo worked.

Special feature: Ko-Uda is said to move from Yamato to Ecchu around end
of Kamakura period, ancestor is Nyudo Kunimitsu, active around the Nanbokucho period to Muromachi period. Uda
sword which was made from the end of Kamakura period to
Nanbokucho period is called Ko-Uda, style is Yamato with
strong Nie, also some sword is Soshuden style. Jigane of
this sword is Itame with Masame, also has Chikei.

Koshirae :
Saya: Kairagi style, there are some fixed trace but the condition is good.
Tsuba: Round iron Tsuba, wave is engraved with openwork
Menuki: On Shakudo plate, a dragon is engraved.
Kogai: On the Shakudo Nanako plate, 2 family crest are engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: This Mumei Kouda sword is extremely fine sword and left
the Shinogi Ji which is consist of Itame and Mokume hada, so
the blade must be Muku gitae. (not put the soft iron in the Jigane)
(most kamakura sword was forged Muku gitae)
and visible to see the texture well mixed up Itame and
mokume hada with chikei.
Hamon is very active beyond Kouda school Sunagashi Kinsuji
work and between hamon to the edge, ash and yo work soft
feeling masterpiece.
The quality is as sama as Jyuyo token class sword.
It can be said that it is a work that is not inferior to a jyuyo
token.
Furthermore, Koshirae consist of fine Sharkskin (Kaeragi
same) and other fine Kodo-gu which was used by high
ranking samurai or daimyo. Habaki is solid gold
