This sword belongs to Jyo-jyo ranking.
The blade was polished.

Habaki :　Copperplate, gold color single habaki.
Blade length :　　61.4cm or 24.17 inches.
Sori :1.4　cm or 0.5 inches.

Width at the hamachi :3.0　 cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.99　cm or 0.78 inches.
Kasane :0.64　 cm or 0.25 inches.
The weight of the sword 605 grams.

Era : Edo period Kanei era
Shape : The sword has about 1cm of Machi-okuri. regular wide and thickness, deep Sori. Typical Kanei shape sword.
Jigane :Ko-Itame-hada very well grained beautiful Jigane.
Hamon :Deep Nioikuchi with Choji-midare and Gunome-midare

special feature:There is few Echizen Ju Harima Daijo Fujiwara Shigetaka the
fist generation’s blade. This is very rare Katana.
The Hamon has thick Nioikuchi.
That school continued to the 11th generation.

Koshirae :
Saya : Aogai-chirashi style with black line pattern.
Tsuba :Mokko iron Tsuba, pattern is engraved.
Menuki : On Shakudo plate, horse and bag are engraved with gold color.
Fuchi-Kashira: On Shakudo nanako plate, a duck is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: There are very few the 1st generation’s works.
We sometimes see Tanto, but there are really few Katana.
The signature of the 1st generation is long sideway but 2nd is vertically long
so it is easy to distinguish.He studied under the Kanenori in Noshu Seki
province so his style is same as O-kamamichi. This sword has a wonderful deep
Nioikuchi with Gunome-midare and Choji-Midare.
The later of 2nd generation is make different Hamon. The Koshirae is also
good. We strongly recommend this rare sword.
