This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : copper single habaki.
Blade length : 60.6 cm or 23.85 inches.
Sori : 2.12 cm or 0.83 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.63 cm or 1.03 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.7 cm or 0.66 inches.
Kasane :0.73 cm or 0.28 inches.
The weight of the sword 505 grams.
Era : Muromachi period Eisyo 5th.
Shape : The blade is regular wide and thick
with deep sori elegant shape.
Katateuchi style.
Jigane :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach utsuri appear.
Hamon :Konie deki Choji midare and Ashi work.

Special feature: The blade is mentioned as Bishu Osafune
and after that can’t see the signature.
At that Eisho era, the battling way is on the ground so Samurai
asked more light and easy to handle the sword.
There are some small Kizu on the blade but not serious.

Koshirae :
Saya :Blue shell saya.
Tsuba :On the mokko style iron tsunami rise up mimi
and engraved some design which looks like Nobuie.
Menuki : On the middle part of Tsuka,
Phoenix design is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo ishimeji.

From Aoi Art: The blade is engraved Bishu Osafune (sukesada) .
At that period, Katateuchi style swords were welcomed
by samurai because battling way became different on the ground
and need the blade is more lighter than before and handling easier.
